The Rally runs on a Mythbusters theme, and we&#8217;re proud to be the official Technology Partner for 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-putting-ev-myths-to-the-test\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Putting EV myths to the test<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every fleet weighing up EVs hits the same wall of doubt &#8211; range anxiety, public charging, running costs, battery life, insurance. GreenFleet&#8217;s Rally takes those myths on in public, in real working conditions, with daily checkpoint challenges designed around the exact questions fleet operators ask. That&#8217;s a mission we&#8217;re glad to put our tracking technology behind. And we&#8217;re not measuring from the sidelines\u2026 Quartix has a team driving the Rally too, taking on the same checkpoints, charging stops and real-world conditions as every other team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-measuring-ev-efficiency-and-safety\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Measuring EV efficiency and safety<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-7387b849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our <a href=\"\/en-gb\/vehicle-tracking\/live-tracking\/\">vehicle tracking system<\/a> will capture data from the Rally vehicles all week and turn it into two scores that matter to any fleet:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Efficiency:<\/strong> how well each team gets the most from their vehicle in real conditions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Safety:<\/strong> <a href=\"\/en-gb\/vehicle-tracking\/driver-behaviour\/\">how the vehicles are being driven<\/a>, day to day, across the full route.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both update as the Rally goes on, so it&#8217;s a running picture across five days and more than 1,000 miles, not just a single number at the finish line.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/www.quartix.com\/content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Quartix-hardwired-tracker-1000x750.png\" alt=\"Black Quartix GPS tracking device with a connected cable ending in three pairs of exposed wires: red, blue, and black. Both are designed to put real innovation on show and take the myths head-on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Day one stops at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.veolia.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Veolia<\/a>&#8216;s battery recycling facility in Minworth, the UK&#8217;s first commercial EV battery recycling plant, built to process up to 20% of the country&#8217;s end-of-life EV batteries and recover critical materials like lithium, cobalt and nickel. It&#8217;s a direct answer to the myth that EV batteries just end up in landfill. The trucks route, meanwhile, calls at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leylandtrucksltd.co.uk\/en-gb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DAF&#8217;s Leyland factory<\/a>, which builds more than 15,000 trucks a year including its zero-emission electric range, proof that heavy transport is going electric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The convoy doesn&#8217;t run in a straight line. It heads north through Birmingham, Chester and Newcastle before turning south to London, and takes in two of the highest roads in the UK to prove EVs aren&#8217;t slow or sluggish on demanding terrain. Milence&#8217;s heavy-duty charging hub in Immingham features on day three for high-power truck charging in operation, plus four stops at GRIDSERVE forecourts are designed for larger vehicles. The Rally finishes at <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.everythingelectric.show\/visit-everything-electric-greater-london\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Everything Electric<\/a> at Twickenham on 11 September, one of the UK&#8217;s largest EV shows, in front of thousands of consumers, businesses and policymakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-the-fleets-and-evs-taking-part\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The fleets and EVs taking part<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2026 teams are the industry itself, putting their own vehicles to the test. They bring together fleet, leasing, automotive and energy names, from BMW and MINI to The AA, Tusker, Speedy, Jaama, E.ON, Kwik Fit, GRIDSERVE and SAGA Trucks. Every team covers the same route, hits the same checkpoints, and is measured on the same efficiency and safety terms by the Quartix tracking system. The data will give a like-for-like picture of how real fleets&#8217; vehicles perform over five days and more than 1,000 miles, in genuine working conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-follow-the-rally-live\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Follow the rally live<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the Rally we&#8217;ll show the participating vehicles&#8217; locations on a live tracking screen as they move between checkpoints, including the new Trucks+Trailers vehicles &#8211; zero-emission HGVs and buses making their debut this year on eHGV charging hubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-daily-team-scores\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Daily team scores<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scores, standings and highlights will be posted daily from 7-11 September, finishing at <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.everythingelectric.show\/visit-everything-electric-greater-london\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Everything Electric<\/a> at Twickenham.
