{"id":38518,"date":"2020-02-12T12:05:24","date_gmt":"2020-02-12T12:05:24","guid":{"rendered":" https:\/\/www.quartix.com\/?post_type=product_update&#038;p=38518"},"modified":"2020-09-25T17:20:54","modified_gmt":"2020-09-25T16:20:54","slug":"privacy-overrides","status":"publish","type":"product_update","link":"https:\/\/www.quartix.com\/en-gb\/product-updates\/privacy-overrides\/","title":{"rendered":"Updated: Privacy overrides"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our trip reporter feature has been extended to allow you to decide if trips are business or private miles. \u00a0You can set this up in the Company page as the default for all users or set it for individual users in the User configuration page.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The main advantage in this update is that it\u2019s now possible to mark past\u00a0trips as\u00a0private and business even if your company doesn\u2019t have Driver ID or if a driver has forgotten to use their tag\u00a0for a particular trip.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This allows all fleets to enjoy the greater control over deciding which trips are private or business miles.\u00a0\u00a0Drivers can\u00a0manually classify\u00a0their trips\u00a0after they happened, instead of\u00a0letting the system to do this automatically through the use of Driver ID tags.<\/p>\n<p>By default, the Quartix systems considers all\u00a0trips to be business trips, if no privacy settings have been established, but that can be overridden in several ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For each vehicle, you can decide whether to use Private\/Business\/Company default as the classification for a trip when there is no driver tag being used\u00a0and there are\u00a0no overrides for the trips.\u00a0 This can be setup in the Vehicle configuration page.<\/li>\n<li>For each specific driver tag, you can decide what\u00a0is the default for that driver\u00a0tag\u00a0when the tag is in use or not in use.
