It can be moved between vehicles with ease, as it is not hardwired.\u00a0 Not to be confused with our Plug &amp; Track option.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <button class=\"accordion-title\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span>Eco-driving<\/button>\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>The term \u2018Eco-driving\u2019 refers to energy-efficient driving techniques that reduce fuel consumption and maximise fuel efficiency, like reducing idling.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <button class=\"accordion-title\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span>Fleet Management<\/button>\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>A set of functions and reports within a telematics system that allows the user to operate their fleet with maximum efficiency. For example, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quartix.com\/en-ie\/vehicle-tracking\/management-tools\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fleet management<\/a> reports might include time on site reports and maintenance alerts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <button class=\"accordion-title\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span>Geofencing<\/button>\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.quartix.com\/en-ie\/vehicle-tracking\/alerts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Geofencing<\/a> is the term used to describe setting up virtual perimeters around a specific geographic area. These areas are called geofencing zones. Quartix Geofencing lets you establish rules for each zone, and provides real-time alerts when vehicles enter or exit the zone.\u00a0 This can be used to establish both mandatory and prohibited zones.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <button class=\"accordion-title\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span>Idling<\/button>\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>The period when a vehicle\u2019s engine is running, but it\u2019s not in motion, for example, leaving the engine running whilst pulled up at the side of a road.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <button class=\"accordion-title\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span>Installation<\/button>\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.quartix.com\/en-ie\/vehicle-tracking\/tracking-device\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Installation <\/a>is the process of fitting a tracking device to a vehicle. For a hard-wired unit, this can take 30 to 45 minutes; for the self-install devices, Plug &amp; Track and Connect &amp; Track, this takes a matter of minutes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <button class=\"accordion-title\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span>OBD<\/button>\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wikiobd.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">OBD<\/a> is a vehicle\u2019s self-diagnostic port, typically located under the driver\u2019s side dashboard. This is where the Quartix Plug &amp; Track device connects to the vehicle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <button class=\"accordion-title\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span>Plug &#038; Track<\/button>\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.quartix.com\/en-ie\/plug-and-track-device\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Plug &amp; Track<\/a> is the name of our self-install tracking device that plugs into the vehicle\u2019s OBD port and can be transferred between vehicles with ease. Not to be confused with the Quartix Connect &amp; Track device.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <button class=\"accordion-title\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span>Privacy Mode<\/button>\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>Quartix has various methods to suspend location and speed monitoring when vehicles are in personal use. Our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quartix.com\/en-ie\/product-updates\/privacy-controls-update\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Privacy Mode<\/a> option can include periods when miles are logged without any location information or times when no monitoring is enabled at all.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <button class=\"accordion-title\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span>Site<\/button>\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>Any location where a vehicle makes a stop and start.\u00a0 Sites that are visited regularly can be set up as <a href=\"\/en-ie\/product\/configuration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">custom locations<\/a> on the Quartix system and will show up in reports as that chosen name, rather than an address.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <button class=\"accordion-title\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span>SIM card<\/button>\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>An\u00a0integrated circuit\u00a0that stores the\u00a0international mobile subscriber identity\u00a0(IMSI) number and its unique\u00a0key, which are used to identify and authenticate subscribers on\u00a0mobile devices. Vehicle tracking devices contain a SIM card to receive and transmit GPS data.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <button class=\"accordion-title\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span>Stop<\/button>\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>When a vehicle is stationary with its ignition on, for example, in traffic or while loading\/unloading.\u00a0 After two and a half minutes, the stop becomes idling.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <button class=\"accordion-title\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span>Telematics<\/button>\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>The term \u2018telematics\u2019 refers to any device which merges telecommunications and data acquisition. Telematics includes anything from GPS systems to navigation systems.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <button class=\"accordion-title\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span>Telemetry<\/button>\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>A communications method where data is collected at remote or inaccessible points and transmitted to receiving equipment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <button class=\"accordion-title\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span>Tracking Device<\/button>\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>The tracking device is the physical device that is installed into a vehicle and connects to either the power source, ignition or OBD port.
