Looking back at 2019

2019 was an exciting year for Quartix USA.  We’re happy to report that our business in the States grew by 26% as we installed over a thousand more units than in 2018.  As we plan for 2020, it’s a good time to look back on everything we accomplished in the last twelve months.

Moving on up

August was a busy month for Quartix as our Chicago offices moved to a new location. With our quick growth in the US, we moved on from the space we’d occupied since our US office opened in 2014, to a mile down the road – a larger space at 875 North Michigan Avenue.

“Our US operations are booming,” said Quartix Managing Director, Andy Walters, at the time of the move. “It’s a testament to the hard work of our US sales and support teams that in only five years, we’ve outgrown our office in Chicago.” 

Award-winning customer service

At the beginning of the year, we worked with an independent assessment organization, Investor in Customers (IIC), to survey our customers and staff, across our international markets and gain insight into their experience with Quartix. 

In May, after the survey was complete and assessed, the IIC awarded us a Gold Award for overall customer experience

A new way to install Quartix

March saw us introduce a new installation option, the Connect and Track vehicle tracking device.  This device connects to the battery of a vehicle, increasing the ease of installation and flexibility. When moving the device from one vehicle in your fleet to another, there is no hard-wiring to disconnect.

The Connect and Track solution is ideal for businesses who may need to switch devices between vehicles.  Self-installing can reduce the costs associated with making these switches, whereas an installation engineer may need to be called out to move any hardwired tracking devices.

Quartix in Español

In June, we added a Spanish language option to our US tracking system. This allowed administrators to switch the language preference for Spanish-speaking employees; all reports and tools then default to that setting. This new feature let Quartix better serve its customers and made the system accessible to a wider range of businesses. 

Looking ahead

In 2020, Quartix will be expanding our geofencing and real-time alerts. There will be a push to make all Quartix reports and configuration more flexible while enriching privacy controls, to ensure customers are in complete control of their data. We are always looking for further ways to support our customers and enhance the Quartix system experience!
