Championing leadership in fleet safety and sustainability in partnership with Brake and Driving for Better Business
Earlier this week Quartix was announced as Headline Sponsor of the 2026 UK Fleet Champions Awards, hosted by Brake, the road safety charity, and delivered in partnership with Driving for Better Business. The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 30 September 2026, bringing together fleet professionals and senior industry leaders from across the UK.
The UK Fleet Champions Awards recognise organisations and individuals who are driving down road risk while reducing the environmental impact of work-related driving. The awards celebrate those demonstrating measurable leadership in preventing crashes, cutting emissions and embedding a culture of responsibility across their fleet operations.
Since 1995, Brake has worked to stop the tragedy of road deaths and serious injuries, support bereaved families and victims, and campaign for proven road safety solutions. The charity provides specialist emotional and practical support to families affected by road crashes, helps professionals better understand victims’ needs, challenges government to adopt effective safety measures, and empowers organisations to manage work-related road risk responsibly.
Driving for Better Business, a National Highways programme, supports employers in embedding road safety into their operational culture. By providing practical guidance and resources, it helps organisations protect employees who drive for work and reduce the wider societal and environmental impact of road collisions.
The Fleet Champions Awards reflect this shared commitment to a Safe System approach, recognising that safe vehicles, safe speeds, safe drivers and sustainable travel choices must work together to prevent harm.
The 2026 awards feature 13 categories that highlight both safety performance and environmental responsibility:
In 2025, over 250 guests, including CEOs, directors and managers from fleet, risk, sustainability, health and safety, transport and operations, attended the ceremony, underlining the growing importance of work-related road risk at board level.
As a leading provider of vehicle tracking and fleet management solutions, Quartix is committed to helping organisations build safer and more sustainable fleets through actionable data and insight.
Central to this is its SafeSpeed database, which enables managers to benchmark driver performance against other drivers on the same roads, identify speeding trends and implement targeted interventions. By transforming telematics data into meaningful safety intelligence, the Quartix speed score supports organisations in addressing risky driving, preventing collisions and improving vehicle wear.
The product suite also include integrated commercial dashcams and a vehicle safety inspections app for fleet drivers.
Quartix has been a long-standing supporter of Brake’s work, helping to raise tremendous funds and awareness for the charity by promoting safe driving practices among businesses and encouraging organisations to strengthen their approach to work-related road risk.
Fleet operators, safety leaders and business decision-makers are encouraged to enter the 2026 UK Fleet Champions Awards and showcase the progress they are making.
Entering the awards provides:
At a time when organisations face increasing scrutiny around both road safety and environmental performance, the Fleet Champions Awards offer a respected platform to highlight leadership, innovation and accountability.
Quartix staunchly supports Brake and Driving for Better Business in their commitment to preventing road deaths and serious injuries, championing responsible employers, and ensuring that everyone who drives for work returns home safely, while reducing the environmental impact of fleet operations.
