Every day, the people managing and operating the UK’s commercial fleets make decisions that keep drivers safe, reduce road risk, and help protect everyone who shares the road. Too often, that work goes unrecognised. The Brake UK Fleet Champions Awards 2026 exist to change that, and to mark 25 years in the fleet tracking industry, Quartix is delighted to be the headline sponsor of this year’s awards.

A cause we’re proud to stand behind

The UK Fleet Champion Awards shine a light on the fleet professionals who go above and beyond to improve safety outcomes and we couldn’t think of a better cause to support.

Why these awards matter

Work-related road collisions are estimated to contribute to around a third of all road deaths in the UK, and a fifth of serious injuries. These statistics represent real people, real families, and real communities. Brake has spent over 20 years supporting victims of road crashes and recognising the organisations working to change this reality. In 2026 the awards are bigger than ever, with four brand new categories added to the line-up.

Should your fleet enter?

Yes! You may think awards like these are for larger operators or organisations with dedicated safety teams, but the judges look for genuine commitment and tangible results over scale. If you’ve taken meaningful steps to protect your drivers and reduce road risk, your story deserves to be told.

Entering makes you document your initiatives, gather your data, and articulate your results to celebrate how far you’ve come. Win or not, taking part signals to your drivers, clients and stakeholders that road safety is part of your culture and not just a tick box.

What you’ll gain by entering

Beyond the recognition on the night, entering the awards provides real, lasting value for your organisation:

  • National recognition for your commitment to safety and sustainability
  • An opportunity to benchmark your performance against industry leaders
  • A platform to demonstrate measurable impact to stakeholders and customers
  • The chance to inspire peers and influence best practice across the sector

A few tips for a strong entry: read the guidance notes carefully before you start, lead with quantifiable results wherever you can, write as though the judges know nothing about your organisation, and include up to two sides of A4 of supporting evidence per entry.

The deadline for entries is 5pm Friday 1 May 2026.

Join us in Leeds on 30 September

Every entrant is invited to celebrate at the gala awards ceremony on Wednesday 30 September 2026, at the stunning New Dock Hall at the Royal Armouries in Leeds. The evening includes welcome drinks, a three-course meal and entertainment, and every ticket sold directly supports Brake’s vital work campaigning for safer roads and supporting road victims.

Tickets are available now at £200 per person or £2,000 for a table of ten, with public and voluntary sector tickets at £50 per person.

We look forward to being there and celebrating the dedication of the UK’s fleet safety community alongside Brake, Driving for Better Business and fellow industry leaders. We hope to see you there!
